Every working phase starting with the fusion and the planing of the sheets, continuing with the cut, the rounding, the soldering, the polishing and the tuning are carried out with meticulous attention.

In fact, using great care in each and every single step of construction we obtain excellence of the product.

The experience accumulated in many years in business does the rest.

Needless to say, that it gives us the opportunity to provide pipes of the highest quality to construction and restoration of organ pipes.

Over 45 years of experience in the international market with, clients throughout the world and with different needs.

AGF products: a perfect combination of function and appearance.

The construction of pipes for church organs is carried out following the traditional artisan method.

The materials used for the construction of the pipes are: tin, lead and in smaller quantities, zinc, copper and tin-plating. The first step carried out in our establishment is the fusion, the tin and the lead are placed in a melting pot, bringing the temperature to a melting point and the impurities removed.

We move on to the casting of the alloy, tin-lead, is placed in a container above the wood slide. With a rapid movement the slide is poured onto the wood casting table, thus obtaining the sheet. The pouring can be on cloth, stone or sand.
The sheet is re-squared and placed on a wheel and pounded to the thickness requested. It is then “ painted” with a sort of paint that protects the surface of the material during the soldering process.
The prepared sheet is ready to be cut. In the cutting phase the various parts of the pipe are created, “the body”, “the feet” with the help of the specific outline. The languid will be created in ulterior procedures and inclinations.

With a compass and using pre-designed specifications, in the body and the feet are marked the mouths .
The pieces are ready to be scraped and formed.

The formation consists in giving a cylindrical or cone-shaped formation to the various pieces wrapping them manually in various sizes or when they are larger they are passed through a calendar.

The body and the feet are beginning to take shape of what will be their final appearance and are ready for “the long” soldering.

After the soldering process, the pieces are washed and undergo several phases that precede their assembling, flattening of the mouths, rounding and polishing; join with the jointing machine.

At this point, in some areas, the pieces are once again painted, scraped and welded together. If the pipes have soldered-in mouths, then the languid is welded to the feet and the body to the feet.

At this point the ears, the foot brake and the hooks are welded.

The pipes are once again washed, then go through the polishing procedure and will be finished off with the tuning process.

The cut- up is made, the points of the feet are made with a cone, the scrolls are traced and the “over lengths are opened where necessary.

The pipes are then tuned (only if requested by the client) tuning them on a test organ.
They are then ready to be packaged and to be delivered.
